Description
The desk-sized book, and the only one bound over boards. Five signatures are sewn onto linen tapes and laced into a case wrapped in black-waxed duck, so the spine squares up instead of rolling. There are 160 pages: 96 ruled at the front for notes, 64 plain at the back for lists and rough plans, with a stitched ribbon marker between the two. Endpapers are the same stock, unprinted. It opens flat from the first page because the sewing carries the hinge. Trim is 5.5 by 8.5 inches. Keep it out of standing water, since a case takes longer to dry than a stitched booklet, and work wax into the corners once a year.
