Description
The large bowl, and the only one in the line on a raised foot. Eleven and a half inches at the rim, 4.5 in. deep, four quarts to the shoulder, and a hair under five pounds empty. The foot lifts it about an inch off the surface, which puts the rim where a hand can get under it and keeps a hot bowl off a bare table. The glaze is an iron saturate that fires near black in the well and thins to a warm brown over the rim and the throwing rings. Dough proofs in it, a salad for eight fits, and it holds its own as the thing left on the counter with fruit in it. Dishwasher and oven safe to 400°F. Ships in 0–2 business days.
