Description
Four staves of edge-grain mesquite jointed and glued with a waterproof adhesive, alternating grain direction so the board stays flat through a New Mexico winter of dry indoor air. It measures 14 by 10 in. and 1.25 in. thick and weighs about 5 lb. One face carries a shallow juice groove routed a half inch in from the edge, which holds the runoff from a roast chicken. Turn it over and the other face is flat and unbroken for bread and produce. The glue lines are visible on purpose. Hand wash both faces, stand it on edge to dry so neither side stays wet, and re-oil monthly at first, then when the colour dulls. Ships in 0–2 business days.
