Description
Thrown low and wide instead of deep, so a serving spoon can reach the far side without tipping the near edge. It runs 9.5 in. across, 3 in. deep and 2.5 quarts, which is roast vegetables for four with room to toss them in the bowl rather than the pan. The speckled oatmeal glaze carries dark iron flecks that come up through it in the kiln and sit heavier toward the base. Two shallow finger reliefs are pressed into the outside wall before the first firing, on opposite sides, so a full bowl can be carried one-handed across a room. Cone 6, vitrified, dishwasher and oven safe to 400°F. Stack it under bowl IV. Ships in 0–2 business days.
