Description
A column rather than a disc. This one comes off a thicker section, so the pale sapwood ring stays visible around the darker heart and no two run alike. It stands 5 1/2 inches on a 3 1/4 inch foot and holds a 7/8 inch taper in a brass cup set flush with the top. The added height puts the flame above a table setting instead of in among it. Finish here is hard wax, not oil: a beeswax and carnauba blend from a keeper in Corrales, burnished by hand, which leaves a drier surface than the oiled version and a little more sheen. Re-wax when water stops beading on the foot. Orders leave our Mountain Road shelves in two business days or less.
