Description
An eight-inch skillet, sand-cast in one piece, with a 6.5-inch cooking surface and a wall 1.75 inches deep. The cooking face is machined flat and smooth after casting, so it starts closer to slick than a pebbled pan and gets the rest of the way there faster. It ships seasoned: three coats of grapeseed oil baked on, a dull brown-black that turns properly black with use. Weight is 3 pounds 6 ounces. Two pour spouts, a cast handle with a thumb rest, and a hanging hole through the end. Cook on gas, over coals, in the oven. Wipe it out hot, dry it on the burner, and rub a thin film of oil in while it is still warm.
