Description

The smallest of the three outfitter groupings, put together for a day out and back. The musette carries about eleven litres in waxed duck woven in North Carolina, one main compartment, a slip pocket for a folded quad sheet, and a bridle leather strap that adjusts through a solid brass slide. The belt is harness leather, an inch and a half wide, cut from a single hide at a tannery in Oklahoma and punched at seven holes. The compass is solid brass with a hinged sighting lid and a liquid-damped card. The card case takes about twelve cards in vegetable-tanned hide, burnished at the edges. Re-wax the bag when water stops beading.
