Camp Coffee Collection — I

Description

Four pieces for making coffee away from a kitchen. The kettle holds 1.2 quarts: spun steel under blue-grey speckled enamel fired at an enamelling works in Pennsylvania, with a folding bail that drops flat against the body. Two 12-ounce mugs carry the same speckle and a black rolled rim. The scoop is stamped stainless on a walnut handle turned here in Albuquerque. All of it rides in a waxed canvas roll cut from cotton duck woven in North Carolina and closed with a bridle leather strap. Set the kettle on a grate or a burner rather than down in the coals. Wash the enamel by hand and dry it before rolling. Chips stay where they start.
