Description
The plain one. A 1 1/4 inch brass case, 1.6 ounces, with a flat mineral glass lens over a liquid-damped card that settles in about four seconds and holds steady while you walk. There is no lid and no sighting notch: you read it flat in an open palm. The case is turned from solid brass bar, knurled at the rim so it can be held with gloves on, and finished with a fine brush that cuts glare on a bright afternoon. It comes on a 1 inch split ring. Brass this small lives against keys and will scuff and brown quickly, which is the point. Keep it away from magnets and off the dashboard in summer.
