Description
The base tool: nine implements on a butterfly frame, 4 1/8 inches closed and 6.2 ounces. Needle-nose pliers with a wire cutter at the joint, a plain-edge blade, a flat driver and a Phillips, a can opener, a bottle opener, a file, an awl, and a six-inch rule stamped into one handle. Everything is 420HC stainless off a strip mill in Butler, Pennsylvania, finished satin so a scratch blends in rather than glaring. The handles are hollow-ground and rounded along the edges, which matters once you have squeezed a stiff pair of pliers for ten minutes. Tools open from the inside on a nail nick. Dry it after wet work and put a drop of oil on the pivots.
