Description
The prismatic one, and the most exact of the three. A glass prism swings up behind the rear sight and magnifies the far edge of a floating card graduated every degree, so the bearing and the landmark sit in one eye at the same moment. The card is damped in fluid and settles in roughly three seconds. The body is 60 mm across, 2.6 inches closed and 11.4 ounces, cast and machined in brass, then hand-darkened to keep the sun off it. It ships in a saddle leather belt pouch with a brass stud closure, stitched here in Albuquerque. Do not force the prism arm past its stop. Wipe the glass with a dry cloth and nothing else.
