Description
A heavy 5-gauge knit in undyed moorit, the natural brown fleece, with a five-inch cuff that covers the ears folded and reaches past them pulled down. The rib is a wide 4×2 that opens under tension and closes again, so one size takes a range of heads with no seam anywhere. It finishes around 140 grams, a little over twice the fine cream cap. The yarn is a longer-staple Rambouillet off the same Montana mill, spun slightly under-twisted for loft. Blocked over a form and packed in Albuquerque. Hand wash cool and dry flat away from a window; overnight at this weight. Brown fleece shows dust less than the cream, which matters if the cap lives in a truck.
