Description
The middle weight of the three, knit at 8 gauge from natural grey fleece: grey and white Targhee carded together before spinning, so the shade shifts a little from cap to cap. The cuff is a double fold three and a half inches deep, worn down over the ears or rolled short on the forehead. The body is a plain 2×2 rib and finishes near 95 grams. Yarn comes from a Montana woolen mill; washing, blocking, inspection and packing happen in Albuquerque. Hand wash cool, dry flat, and ease it back to shape while it is still damp. Grey fleece lightens under strong sun across a couple of seasons, mostly at the crown.
