Description
Four pockets, two to a face, in 4 oz saddle leather hand-rubbed to a chestnut that runs lighter on the high spots. The front pocket is cut with a half-moon thumb notch so the card you reach for most comes out without digging. Panels are skived where they overlap, which keeps a twelve-card load down to about three eighths of an inch. Around the perimeter a heated creaser leaves a shallow line just inside the stitch, a bench habit that stiffens the edge and helps it lie flat. Finished size is 4.25 by 3.125 inches. Rubbed dye keeps moving for a while, so the colour will deepen wherever fingers land. Condition twice a year, sparingly.
