Description
Two outer pockets and a wider center slot, cut from 4 oz saddle leather that is drum-dyed a mid walnut brown before it reaches the bench. The center slot takes folded bills or a room key; the outer pockets carry five cards each. Body panels are skived thin at the mouth so the stack does not step, then saddle-stitched down both sides. Edges are slicked hot with wax, which leaves a darker line than a raw burnish does. Closed dimensions are 4.125 by 3 inches. The dye sits in the hide rather than on top of it, so a scuff lightens the surface instead of exposing pale leather underneath. Keep it out of standing water. Re-condition when the face goes dry.
