Description

A plain musette, which is to say a flat bag on one strap with nothing on it that does not do a job. Twelve-ounce cotton duck in natural, waxed light so it still folds soft, cut and sewn in Albuquerque. Eleven by ten by three inches, about 5 liters, enough for a paperback, a sandwich and a bottle laid flat. The strap is vegetable-tanned hide, an inch and a quarter wide, adjustable on a solid brass buckle from a shop in Providence. The flap closes on a leather tab over a brass stud. It will crease within a month of carry. Brush the dust off, spot-clean cold, and re-wax when the cloth looks thirsty.
