Description
The widest strap we cut: 1.75 inches of 13 oz harness leather, left undyed so it arrives the colour of raw hide and ends up wherever the sun takes it. The buckle is a solid brass double-tongue, which spreads the pull across two holes instead of wallowing one of them out the way a single tongue will under weight. A matching brass keeper holds the tail down. Fourteen holes punched in two columns. This is the belt to hang a sheath, a pouch or a small axe from, and at this thickness it does not fold over when loaded. Cut in even sizes 32 through 46. Undyed harness marks easily in the first months; that is the record it keeps, not damage.
