Description
The dressier build. A 5 oz black harness outer laminated to a 4 oz liner and saddle-stitched the whole length down both edges at six stitches to the inch. Two thinner plies stay flatter through belt loops than one thick strap and give a cleaner line under a jacket, and it is the stitching that holds them there, not adhesive on its own. Width is 1.25 inches, with a solid brass heel-bar buckle on screws. Edges are sanded flush, dyed and slicked until the seam between the plies disappears. It is made in even sizes, 30 through 44. Roughly five hundred stitches go into a size 36, which is most of the reason it costs more than a single-ply strap of the same width. Keep it on a hook rather than folded.
