Description
A crew-height sock knit at 200 needles with half terry looping through the sole and heel only. The blend is 70 percent merino, 28 percent nylon and 2 percent elastic; the terry adds loft where a boot rubs and leaves the leg thin so it does not bunch inside a cuff. The leg measures eight inches from the heel, which clears the collar of most hiking boots. A 2×1 rib runs the full leg and the heel and toe carry a doubled strand. Right for spring through autumn, and for most winter days here, where the cold sits until mid-morning and then leaves. Wash cold, dry low. The terry flattens with wear and opens again in the wash.
