Description
Longer and better braced than the slip joint. A back-lock holds the blade open until you press the bar at the spine, and the pivot runs on phosphor bronze washers, so it swings open off the thumb stud with one hand. The blade is a 3 1/2 inch clip point, stonewashed grey, with a swedge along the spine that lightens the tip for finer cuts. Brass bolsters cap both ends of the mesquite. Closed length 4 5/8 inches, weight 5.9 ounces. The brass browns within a season and settles at nearly the same colour as the wood, which is why it is here instead of steel. Strop the edge on leather and it will go months between stones.
