Description
Ten-ounce cotton duck from a weaver in Massachusetts, waxed on our bench in Albuquerque with a paraffin and beeswax dressing, then cut and sewn to a hip-length chore shape. Four patch pockets: two at the chest under flaps, two at the hip set on an angle so a hand goes in with the arm hanging. The body is unlined, which keeps it usable well into a warm afternoon. Corduroy collar, solid brass snaps, bar-tacked at every pocket corner. The wax creases hard through the first month and then holds the shape you gave it. Brush off dust, sponge cold, re-wax the cuffs and shoulders after two or three seasons. Never machine wash and never dry-clean.
