Description
Twelve-ounce waxed duck, cut longer to mid-thigh and lined through the body in a wool-and-cotton blanket cloth. The front closes with brass snaps behind a storm placket, and the cuffs take a tab so wind does not run up the sleeve. Hand-warmer pockets sit behind the lower cargo pockets, lined in the same blanket cloth. The duck comes off the same Massachusetts mill; waxing, cutting, sewing and finishing happen in Albuquerque. It holds on its own down to about freezing and takes a layer under it below that. Care follows the lighter coat: brush, sponge cold, re-wax the wear points. Do not wash it. The lining can be spot-cleaned where it sits.
