Description

The plain-edged one. We hem this Chimayo instead of fringing it, turning the warp ends under twice and stitching them flat, because a fringe on a throw that moves between a truck bench and a porch chair does not survive long. The pattern is stepped: cream blocks that shift half a step at every repeat across a charcoal ground, woven in Los Ojos on undyed and vat-dyed wool. 48 by 72 inches, 3 pounds. Long enough to cover a tall person to the ankle in a chair. Brush it out with a stiff clothes brush between washes. Wash cold and rarely, dry it flat, and keep it off a radiator.
