Description
Knit at a fine 12 gauge from undyed cream fleece, so the colour is the sheep and nothing else. The wool is Rambouillet, scoured and spun at a woolen mill in Montana, knit to our pattern, then washed, blocked and packed here in Albuquerque. The body is a 2×2 rib with a single two-inch fold at the brim, close to the head and thin enough to go under a hood without bulk. It weighs about 65 grams. No lining, no synthetic in the yarn. Hand wash cool, press the water out without wringing, dry flat. Undyed wool carries a faint lanolin smell when wet. That goes as it dries.
