Description
Twelve ounces, which is the size most people end up reaching for every day. The body is drawn from cold-rolled steel, then dipped and fired twice, so the enamel sits thick at the rim where mugs usually fail first. The ground is sandstone white under dark speckle, and the rolled rim is navy. It stands 3.5 inches, measures 3.4 across the rim and weighs 7.4 ounces empty. The handle is welded rather than spot-tacked and stands far enough off the wall for a gloved finger. Stove, fire ring and oven all suit it. The microwave does not. Hand wash and dry upright. Set it near coals and the outside will darken with soot.
