Description

Six ounces in 18/8 stainless, wrapped in natural vegetable-tanned leather and saddle-stitched down one side with waxed linen thread. The body is welded and polished inside, and the threaded cap sits on a short captive arm so it cannot be set down on a rock and left there. It measures 4.4 by 3.4 by 0.8 inches and slides into a back pocket without a ridge. The leather starts pale and stiff. Within a season of handling it goes tan, then brown at the corners where a hand closes on it. Rinse the flask and stand it upside down to dry. Wipe the wrap with a damp cloth and give it a little leather oil once a year, never a soak.
