Description
The largest outfitter grouping, and the one people buy for overnights. The rucksack takes thirty-two litres, waxed duck over a bridle leather base, with a buckle-down flap, two side compression straps and a haul loop stitched through four layers. The canteen is stainless, forty ounces in a flat oval section, collared in harness leather that was wet-formed to it and left natural so it darkens against the metal. The journal cover fits a standard pocket notebook and closes with a wrapped tie rather than elastic, which will not slacken. The belt is harness leather, an inch and three quarters wide, on a brass roller buckle. Oil the leather twice a year and leave the canvas alone until it stops shedding water.
